Get set for cinema, restaurants, bowling, indoor golf and more

Transforming the Northern Gateway into a hub for improved health, jobs, housing and renewable energy is a key part of our commitment to boosting our economy and helping our borough recover following the impact of Covid-19.

At the southern side of the Northern Gateway, Turnstone Estate’s gained planning approval for a 200,000 sq. ft. leisure scheme. It will include a 12-screen Cineworld, two drive-thru restaurants (Greggs and Wendy’s), a 90-bed Travelodge hotel, a Hollywood Bowl bowling alley, Puttstars indoor golf centre and a Jump Street climbing centre, as well as seven restaurants, high-quality landscaped piazza, parking for 750 cars and several rapid-charge electric vehicle charging points.

The whole development will benefit from an integral digital network providing ultra-fast broadband to local homes and businesses.

Work is now underway on the construction of the Leisure Park which is scheduled to open in autumn 2023.
